Terms of use

Last updated 4 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Layerista at layerista.com. By using the site you agree to them. They are written to be read — if anything is unclear, email hello@layerista.com.

1. The service

Layerista lets you customize 3D-printable models in your browser and download them as 3MF or STL files. It is currently in beta: features may change, and we may fix or improve models in ways that change future downloads.

2. What you may do with your files

  • Print them as often as you like, for yourself or for others.
  • Sell the physical prints — keychains, signs, toppers and so on — including through your own shop, market stall or print farm.
  • Edit them in your slicer or CAD software for your own printing.

What you may not do:

  • Sell, share or upload the digital files themselves (the 3MF/STL), or the models in bulk, as files for other people to download or print.
  • Use Layerista or its files to build a competing model generator or model library.

3. Your content

Text, logos and images you add stay yours, and they stay on your device (see Privacy). You are responsible for having the right to use them — in particular, don't use other people's trademarks, logos, characters or artwork in products you sell unless you have permission.

Don't use Layerista to make anything illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

4. Fonts and other components

The fonts in Layerista are open-licensed (SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0), so the letter shapes in your prints may be used commercially. The site itself, its models and its code belong to Layerista.

5. Credits and payments

Layerista is free during the beta and there is nothing to buy yet. Paid credits are planned. Before they are introduced we will add the prices, how many credits a download uses, how long credits last and how refunds work to these terms — and nothing will be charged before you have seen them.

6. Fair use

Please don't overload the site, scrape it, or try to get around its limits. We may restrict access for anyone who does.

7. Printing is up to you

We design the models to print well on common FDM printers and show size and fit checks, but results depend on your printer, filament and settings. Check a test print before making large batches, and make sure products you sell are safe for how they will be used (for example, not as children's toys with small parts, or food-contact items unless suitable).

8. No warranty, limited liability

Layerista is provided “as is”, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, failed prints or wasted filament arising from using the site or its files.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make an important change we will update the date at the top; continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
